| Chapter Information Palmetto Chapter The first chapter in our state for Gold Star Mothers |
The Palmetto Chapter came about during the Vietnam era in 1970.
It was formed to give mothers in the state support of each other
and to help the veterans of our state. Our chapter thanks these
mothers for the service that both their sons and they have done for
our country and for our state.

The Carolina Jessamine chapter was formed as we were parents & families of
two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our sons and daughters were all volunteers in
the military and joined to make a difference not only in their own lives but in
the country that they served. As parents and families we wanted to make a
difference in our state and help the veterans around the state, as well as give
support to each other. Not one of us wanted to be part of the Gold Star
Mothers and Families but we hope to continue what our children and loved ones
started when they joined the service to serve their country and keep America
safe.
